Digital Detectors

Digital Detectors otherwise known as Continuous Radon Monitors (CRM) are great tools because they give you averages over time as well as hourly readings. They often provide temperature monitoring and tamper or movement monitoring to ensure that the occupant does not move or tamper with the device. Most of these devices also can print out the results as soon as the test is complete. These devices require a yearly calibration to ensure their ongoing accuracy. Using these devices and getting hourly readings are very useful to determine which weather conditions caused increased radon levels.

Check out this video with Doug Kladder of NEHA for a demonstration.
