Building?…Renovating? Be Careful

by

Hello My Dear Friends,

It’s been quite a while since I posted on my blog. So much has happened since April. I have some exciting surprises coming up soon that I will announce in the next few weeks.

Today I want to talk about a home inspection I did last week. A wonderful client of mine Mr. P. asked me to inspect a home he was considering buying. His primary concern was will it be cool in my bedroom when it gets really hot and humid outside? When I arrived on site, the homeowner, seller, vendor was all over me telling me how good the air conditioning was and how no expense was spared in the selection of his system.

I hear this all the time even when the AC is terrible. No one wants the deal to fall apart. Unfortunately, most of the time the AC is terrible. Most construction projects, whether a new home or a renovation is awarded to the lowest bidder and rarely are the proposals “apples to apples”. By the time most consumers realize their mistake, and their bedrooms are terribly uncomfortable, it is simply too late to fix.

Last week, there was good news. In fact, the AC was great and I was glad to help make the purchase successful. I was really happy for all the parties when I saw the SOLD sign on the property.

If you are considering building or renovating, there are many pitfalls that you must be aware of so you don’t get stuck with a horribly uncomfortable home, like most people.

Why not give me a call for some free advice on how to make the right decisions while your home is under construction?
